It’s back! It’s harder! It’s epic-er! Dropbox announced Dropquest II today! What is Dropquest you might ask? From the Dropbox blog post, it’s “a magical journey through Dropbox and the interwebs”, otherwise known as an online scavenger hunt, and the prizes are free space as well as some other Dropbox swag, like t-shirts and such. First place will get 100gb of Dropbox storage for life, second place will get 20gb for life, third place will get 5gb for life, fourth place will get 2gb for life, and fifth place will get 1gb for life. And that is in addition to the extra 1gb for life to everyone who completes Dropquest. It will take place . According to Dropbox, it took last year’s winners around two hours, but they estimate it will take contestants at least five hours this year. It sounds like a nice way to spend a Saturday. I unfortunately already have plans for that day, so I won’t be able to start promptly at the beginning, which I think will eliminate me from one of the top places, but I will still complete it to earn my free gb.
I did not compete last year, but am very excited for this years event. I love Dropbox, it is a great tool, and I also love that they provide user’s with so many ways to earn free space. Good luck and stay tuned for updates once Dropquest commences!
